Kaffir Limes    
     

A medium size citrus tree with a deep green glossy unique double leaf, endemic to south-east Asia and has become immensely popular in Australia over recent years. The aramatic leaves add an unmistakable, refreshing taste that is essestianal in most Thai soups, curries and stir fries. These leaves are harvested by hand, which is extremely challenging owing to the long sharp thorns. Kaffir lime leaves freeze exceptionally well for several months in an air tight bag.

Orders of Kaffir leaves are posted on the day of picking to ensure freshness.

     
     

The fruit once disregarded, has increased in popularity . The zest of the fruit is being utilized in stir fries and fish dishes and the juice is used in natural remedies as am inhalent.and in stean baths. There are also newly discovered health properties. The main fruit harvesting period is January till August with some fruit available all year and leaves are available 12 months of the year.
